Open Workplaces Toolkit

About the Toolkit

The Open Workplace Toolkit provides guidance for those interested in advocating for organizational norms, policies, and practices that create a supportive environment for employees who participate in consensual non-monogamy and other stigmatized relationship and family structures. You can perform this advocacy work whether or not you personally engage in consensual non-monogamy, and we encourage allies and community members to work together!

There are several things to consider when determining whether – and how – to advocate for an open workplace. What should you advocate for? Who should you talk to? What are the best ways to build a coalition? Do you want to disclose your own identity as part of that work?

This toolkit exists to walk you through those questions in an effort to help you build an approach that’s right for you and your workplace context.
